There is an error in my DS 230( my dob at one place is printed wrong) and my attorney said that it shouldnt be a problem. I should just mention that there has been an clerical error to the consulate and I should be fine. Is this right?
 
No. All information is supposed to be accurate.

You can submit a corrected DS230. Just take this at the time of interview.

Since My attorney believes that its not required. Should I just fill the Of-230 part 1 on my own and take it or do I need my attorney to sign the G-28 (Notice of ENtry of Appearance as Attorney ) form where it says they are filing OF 230 on my behalf?
Any help on this is appreciated. Last minute jitters are awful ;)

No need to get the attorney involved

Just fill in the form yourself and take it with you. Actually OF230 is the old form and is obselete. Use DS230 instead. You can get this on the web. One source is www.immihelp.com. Select fillable forms and then Department of state. Hmmm... on that note, I assume since you already sent your pkt 3 in, you are not under this new process of sending pkt 3 to NVC, right ?

Yeah, I know how the jitters feel :-) I\'m just leaving for my CP after a lot of confusion !

Well, frankly speaking I got to know all this only on Jan 1st including my case number. I would think that my packet has reached the consulate as I got my appointment letter. should I check up with them?
man, my BP is increasing ;( - for past 15 days I have been cramming up all this visa info. and looks like its not enough. if only i had got to know of this site earlier - could have consulted with cp gurus like you.

Hi,

I live in India and in near future I\'m going for GC interview at Chennai, my questions are:

1. From where should I get the PCC?. My passport is from Assam (North east india) and I live in Andhra Pradesh now (for last 7-8 months after leaving US).

2. How do I feel up I-134 (Affid. of support). Is there any minimum money you should have or something? I have my spouse and 1 year son. And where should I notarize it?

3. I have on last two years Tax returns (1999 & 2000) and will have some for 2001, I had submitted thru internet and took the hard copy of the return and signed it. Is it enough for the interview purpose?

you need to get the PCC from the local police station AND from the passport office where your passport was issued.
