DS 156 questions (Urgent)

I have an approved H1 B visa and I am going for stamping to Calgary, Canada and I do have few questions in Form DS156

I have been refused US visa twice for F1 once personally and once thru postal and I have been after after when I went personally.

Do I need to state all those refusals in question 31.
1. Have you ever been Refused a U.S visa.

2. How long do you intend to stay in U.S

3 what is the purpose of your trip?
shall I answer these one as Technical Work.

4. Are any of the following persons in the U.S ( I do have my brother who has legal residence in U.S).

please share the visa experiences with Calgary, canada

1. Yes, you need to disclose.
2. whatever period on approval notice is fine.
3. work or temporary work.
4. If brother is in the list of DS-156, you should disclose. "Yes" will not be problem for H1B.

Brother status, should I unveil ?

Hi there,

I am in the same situation of SGRAJ right now.I am going for H1-B stamping to Vancouver .

While applying for F1 , I had not declared that my brother is in USA but now I am in dillema whether I should declare it or not when I am going for my H1B stamping?
Gurus please reply this ASAP because I got less than a week time .This is the only one question no 37 been bugging me since more than a week.

You mustn't lie. Your H1 is not an problem with telling there is a brother, but you haven't told truth for F1, which miight be a problem.

Same situation here?

I agree I should declare all truth...but I do not know some how when I applied for my wife H4 stamping I didn't specified she has her sister and mother living in USA; I thinking this time I should put all details;

That will cause a problem; please advice Gurus?; should I mention this time or NOT????

You mustn't lie. Your H1 is not an problem with telling there is a brother, but you haven't told truth for F1, which miight be a problem.

I talk with my Lawyer and she told me that it's not a problem if you mention your brother name in your form.Consulate officer is not going to take that as a nagative.
Then I ask her then what about the lying that I did 4 years ago.She told me generally they don't check your records which is 4 years old and even if they check then there is a chance that your brother came during those 4 years !

So let's see what happens ,my inteview is next week on Thursday in Vancouver and most probably I am going to write 'Yes',will share the experience.

Tell the truth....it is much better than lie

I know they are some chances..but I am sure telling truth is far better than lying....so no matter what I am going to mention thos details....if officer ask we need convience him...some how...but other than that....I think they more worried about how long we are here in USA....what is our status?......I think they go in detail when they see did your relatives filled any Immigration Petition if they did then they go into the details...this is my thinking.....

Post all your experience and make sure once u get successfull stamping please post the details....

H1 is dual intent visa and having LPR or US citizen relative in the US or they filed immigration petition for you are NOT going to be reason of denial. Your only concern is whether they bring back your last application or not.

Do think they are going to pull my previous application and see whether I mentioned this details or NOT? my wife 2 H4 VISA stamping done in London, UK....

I made it guys ! No lies ,I told the truth that my bro is here and also my previous visa refusal for my F1.My case was here F1-OPT-H1.
This officer ask me couple of question only and I guess he was not giving any attention of what I was talking !

What company you work for ?
what company does ? what you do for'em?
show me your paystubs,MS certificate,OPT Card, transcripts ! "
he even didn't turn the second page of my DS156 and look what I've witten for my visa refusal or any releative in USA !
I think if you have MS from here and if your H1 has approved under those 20000 quota then it erases any nagative things that you have in past ! " Tas ke ekka hai MS certificate "!
