DS 156 Questions....Urgent Help Needed...Please

Hi everybody,

I am going to matamoros consulate for my H1B revalidation. I have few doubts which anyone of you please share your experiances. I am trying to fill electronic DS 156 form. The following questions are confusing me alot...

1) When Do You Intend To Arrive In The U.S.?
(Provide specific date if known)
Rightnow i am in US and just going to mexico for visa revalidation. What date should i write here. Actually i wanted to write " Currently In US on H1" but in the electronic form i can see only dates. How can i write text?

2) Have You Ever Been in The U.S.?

I have been to india twice on vacation. Do i need to mention both or Do i need to mention latest arrival date to US.

3) Who Will Pay For Your Trip?
I am just going for my revalidation ...what should i write...Is it ok if i write my employer's name ....

Please guide me would be appreciated.....

Ex: Since Jan 2000 ( if u can put ony dates, put ur last first entry)

Yes, Since Jan 2000

H1B revalidation ---- Matamoros, Mexico

Hi All,

I have heard lot of mixed opinions regarding consulates in Mexico as for as H1B revalidations are concerned. But i knew we can go mexico for revalidations. Here i am sharing my experiance. I went to matamoros, mexico for my H1B revalidation and it was pretty smooth and cool. They did not ask me anything except few questions. Those who want to revalidate their H1's better prefer Matamoros consulate since it is cool consulate.

Q1) where do you work?

Recently i changed my employer so the consular officer asked me...

Q2) why did you change your employer?

Q3) How long you worked for your old employer?

Q3) How long you been working with new employer?

Then consular officer looked at my employer offer letter and pay stubs...Thats all....Then he said "your visa is approved..Go and sit for a while we will call you back once your stamped visa is ready ...you have to pay $50 fee for that".

In no time (within 45 min) my name was called at another counter. I paid $50 and they issued my stamped visa.

So guys i strongly recommend you to go matamoros consulate for your visa needs. Not to speak of me, i have seen lot of sucessfull cases in recent months.
