DS-156 Question URGENT!!!

Hi,

I had received a 221(g) in July 2003 when i applied for F1. The reason was that they could not find my entry in the SEVIS database. The officer had told me that visa is issued but he cant stamp it that day since the entry was not found and ask me to do the formalities. I later did the formalities and then got an email form the consulate which stated that my entry has been done and come to consulate and get the visa stamped.

Now, I am going for my first H1-B stamping in Mexico next week and had the following question:

1. What do i write for question 31?

Have You Ever Been Refused a U.S. Visa?

Yes or no???

2. I dont have a copy of the letter i got from consulate for 221(g) (I agree it was foolish on my part to not have saved it) but I do have the emails i recieved from the SEVIS dept and also the consulate asking me to come again for stamping.

3. How difficult is it to get H1-B stamped given my case in Matamoros, Mexico?

Please this is really uregnt and any help is highly appreciated.

For Q 1.

No you have not been refused a visa.

For Q2

Mails should be good enough..though the 221G may never come up

For Q3

A buddy got his stamped at Matamaros..it just took a few minutes!!
I got mine at Tijuana. (H1-H1)

Saw atleast for F1-H1 candidates at Tijuana All of them got it without issues.
No sticky questions were asked.
All of them were asked questions about their courses....credits , university.
