Ds 156 Q36

Hi

I have one question regarding q36 on DS 156. I got EAD as a derivative applicant where my spouse is a primary applicant . My Spouse's company applied I-485 for us. We both (myself and my spouse) still have H1 extension and while visiting India, We want to get this H1 stamp on our passport.

What should we answer for Q36 on DS 156? ( Has Anyone ever filed immigrant isa petition on your behalf?)

I think, my Spouse should say 'YES' and write the Employer Filed it.
I don't know what should I answer?

I don't know what should I answer?

-------------- your spouse will write YES as I-140 was filed for him by his employer and then based on that I-140 I-485 was filed
You will write NO if no I-140 was filed for you
* I-140 is the immigration Petition that is filed by Employer
I-485 is NOT immigrant Petition it is Adujustment of Status filed in US by YOU

Now, I better understand the question 36 and confident to answer NO ... as Nobody applied I-140 for me ....
