DS-156 Q:29-Pls Help

Hi,

I came to US on May'06(First trip to US) on H4.I am going to India for H1 stamping in the month of Dec. Now I am booking the appointment from Vfs. While filling DS-156 form I am bit confused about the
Q29:Have you ever been in the US,
when, for How long ?

What would be answer I need to fill for this Q:29 for How long?
As I came to US on May,06 ,now the duration is 2 months of my stay in US as of now. But at the time of Dec(My interview time) my stay in US will be
8 months.
So How many months I need to put in this column for Q:29

Pls help me regarding this who had idea about this .

You should enter the duration up to the time of filling your application, not until the time of interview. Interview dates are shown only after you fill in your DS156.
