Can we apply at the drop box for 'both' together if:

Father is 60+ years old and mother is 50+ years old (Or) should the mother go to the Consulate for interview ?

Yes its perfect to send the document via drop box...i had the same situation for my inlaws and the age was also same...
my Father in law just drop all the doc in drop box and they got visa...
