dropbox or interview?

My father is 60+ years old and my mother is around 57 year old. They want to visit US on visitor visa. They come under Chennai Consulate. Can they apply for visitor visa through dropbox or do they need to attend a personal interview at consulate? If it is dropbox, typically howmany days it will take to get the visa? thanks for your reply.

There is no option of dropbox.

Hi,

Now whoever going to US ,any age,they must take an appntment and go to the consulate personally,and their fingerprint must be taken there.So they have to go.
