Drop box URGENT HELP

I am on H1B, my wife got a H4query, now apart from answering the query, in the check list they gave, they are asking for:
1)ORIGINAL I-797 APPROVAL NOTICE
2)ORIGINAL I-129 PETITION FOR NON-IMMIGRANT WORKER

Right now, I am in US.
-Do they really need ORIGINAL I-797? or Can I give a color copy of it?
-If I send my original document, is it that I should have the original I-797 with me all the time while I am in US?
-This is a drop box, I am not sure how long INS will respond to the drop box query, if I want to travel to India in between INS responds, can I travel India and US having copy of I-797 while the original is with the consulate?
- What does it mean by Original I-129? Does my employer give me or INS the original I-129?

Please help me.

- What does it mean by Original I-129? Does my employer give me or INS the original I-129?
--------------I-129 is form that is filed with LCA for H1 petition, lawyer who filed your H1 has the copies let him certify and then send I-129+LCA
