My wife\'s DL was expiring.
In NH, we had to go to the State DMV office (not local) at Concord (for non-US citizens) and show our EAD. Her DL was extended until the EAD date.

GcFunWaiting, I agree with you about the INS Cross-checking. I remember, in my case also I had to wait for about a month or so before I got my DL renewed. Fortunately in my case, my previous DL, issued by another state, was still valid (?) during that time.
