Drivers license renewal in Florida while out-of-status

Is it possible to renewal Drivers license in florida while out-of-status.?

I'm Mexican and my company filed renewal papers for TN status before the I-94 expired, but now the I-94 expired and I'm out of status, is going to take until february 12 or so to get the results of immigration.

Now, I got a ticket because my driver's license expired, for the payment of the ticket I need to show a valid driver's license, but I cannot renew it I went to DMV they said I cannot renew it until I get my new I-94, I explained to them the 240 day rule, and I showed the EAC-xxxx... receipt, but they don't accept that. They recommended to check it at the court, so I went to the court, I tried to pay the fine showing my driver's license from Mexico that is still valid, but they didn't know what to do, because I already have a florida DL.

I don't know what to do, maybe I can try another DMV? is there a document that can support the 240 day rule to show them a copy of it? or any other document that can support me for the renewal of my DL?

I would like to know your point of view, so any help or advice is greatly appreciated

Thanks a lot

The DMV is correct. Those in your predicament are supposed to file TN early enough, or use premium processing. This has been the case for many years since State DLs fell under the "Real ID" requirements.

So, decide whther you wnat to pay fines, and use taxis, or pay the $1250 for premium processing on your current I-129 petition.
