Driver Licence Problem in PA

Hi

I am facing problem with Driver Licence Center in Phili, PA. Please post if you have some info about it. We have moved from VA to Philadelphia PA. We went to the Driver Licence Center to change the license to PA state. They were asking for INS stamped i94..etc. But my i94 has expired. VA is cancelling my license by this month end. They have given me 1 month time to change to PA. But PA Driver Licence Center is not giving me the license. I am working on EAD. I don't have h1 anymore. They don't accept EAD as a status document. They are asking for valid i94 or GC approved stamping on the passport. Don't know what to do.. Please post a message if you have any idea about how to handle this situation..

if possible try for VA LIC renewal. It will go for another few years.
Any way u have to tranfer ur car registration from VA to PA.This has no relation with your driver's LIC.

In PA you can apply thru PDOT(PA Dept of transportation) or some agencies. I will recommend second one.

For LIC time being renew VA later you can transfer .If it is not possible if you r working ask ur employer for empoyment verification letter . I hope they will(PDOT) agree for it

Which location did you go to? Or more specifically, where do you live right now. There are couple around where I live(Malvern, Norristown etc) where they don't check a lot of docs. I got my license renewed for 4 years (Am on EAD)!! If you have any Best Tags location around you, it's even easier. You just go there and get your registration done-they don't ask for immigration stuff.

Try AAA

All of us who have expired I94s should take note of this. What if this freeze lasts long, we will be seeing more hurdles in everyday life.

By the way, I always go to AAA for anything related to my Car tags, etc. They are very helpful.

If you are not a AAA member, you can still go, they charge you little extra.
