Doubts - H1 visa - URGENT - PLEASE REPLY

Hi,

My OPT is from June 2005 to May 2006. If I would like to have a start date of April 2006, can I apply now?

Also, is the procedure different for MS quota from the normal 65000 quota? Is the filing fees different for MS quota from normal quota?

If I do premium processing, will I still be counted in the cap?

Please reply. Very urgent!

Any helpful answer would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all,
AM also in same boat and looking for help in this regard. My OPT is also ending in may 06. I have one more question. can we apply for H1 from 2 different companies simlutenously.. or once we apply are we struck with the same company until H1 is processed?

You have to mention start date specifically in the H1 applcation and the cover letter

For H1 procedures are same for any quota and fees too.

Premium process is just a vehicle for the officer to pick up your papers first for processing, if yu pay $1,000, if not officer will definitely pick up your papers for processing after 3 months. But Cap is always there

You can apply any number of H1 simultaneously. No limit.

or once we apply are we struck with the same company until H1 is processed?

You no need to struck to any company during processing or even approval. Even you can go back to your home county after H1 approval, there is no compusion on H1.
