I have received the all 4 NOA, I have only one A# which is on I485 NOA,no A# on either i765,130,131,
I have a question ,
my district office is chicago,
I thought the forms go to NBC centre,I received them from MSC!! is that unusual??
my receipt no starts with
MSC XXXXXXXX, is that normal??
shouldnt it be some thing like LIN.....
please ans!!!! thank you

I too only had one NOA (for the I485) with the A#, I guess that's normal. The alien registration number identifies you (the applicant), not the application, that's why you only need one number.

MSC=Missouri Service Center=National Benefits Center=NBC. The case number starts with MSC because the applications will initially be processed at MSC.

By the way, judging from the zip on the postmark, it seems the NOAs are mailed throughout the US from the Chicago Lockbox, not from Missouri.

I field from Chicago and I also have number starting with MSC. I guess it's normal...

NBC used to be MSC

Your Receipt: Since all applications and petitions processed at the NBC are entered into an electronic receipting system for tracking, any application or petition received at the Lockbox will be assigned an "MSC" number (short for Missouri Service Center, the former name of the NBC).
