Double citizenship

Hi, the N-400 instructions says that the applicant just has to write one country of citizenship. However, the interview document checklist ask to bring all passports issued by any government. Should take the second passport to the interview regardless of not being used for traveling? Would be an issue to disclose the second citizenship at the time of interview?

Thanks

Yes, you should bring all passports. The passports are for checking travel outside the U.S., etc. No, they don't care what your citizenships are.

Actually you don't really need to bring a passport. I had lost mine and it was not an issue during the interview. Passports are not really accurate since some countries don't stamp passports. I think the USCIS gets our travelling info from boarder and customs.

You should definitely disclose your second citizenship during the interview. As a matter of fact, I think you should disclose this info as soon as the IO is done swearing you at the start of the interview. You most deffenetally do not want the IO the impression you are omitting information from them.

Just tell the IO there was no space on the application for you to write down the second country.

Thank you newacct and Eidolons03.

I have the second country's passport, but it does not have any stamp at all. But it would be better to take it just to be safe.

Certainly Not. Having multiple passport is not a issue. It is just to check for tour travel outside the U.S.
