Hi,
Is there a particular order in which the forms need to be arranged for the DORA interview?
Could anyone help me with this?
Thank you.

Hello,
I just had my interview today. I dont think there is particular order they require you to have for your documents,as long as you have all the required supporting documents. But it is a good idea to group them according to the forms. For e.g i -864 should have your sponsor's tax documents, employement verification letter etc. i -130 should have your sponsor's proof of status, marriage certificate and other supporting evidence of relationship. I have my list of documents submitted on the following link. HOpe it helps. When is your interview?

Hi,
I am a brand new USC, trying to sponsor my wife. We got DORA interview on May 10. Could you please tell us about your interview experience, waiting tiime for the interview etc.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rainman,
Here is my experience with DORA interview.

Our infopass appointment was set to 10:45am. We arrived around 10:10am. Showed our infopass appointment letter to the security officer and went through the security check ( very similar to the one in the airports). Then the security officer told us to submit the appointment letter in the middle basket. After 15-20 mins, they called our name. Asked who was the petitioner, if i was U.S citizen, and asked for my DL. She also asked for my husband's status (h1b) and his passport and photo id ( Texas DL). She made copies of both our DL's and took his passport.

She flipped through our forms and supporting documents and said it would take the immigration officer another 10 mins or so to look through these. After another 15 mins, they called us again, gave us a letter and returned my husband's passport. The letter had another appointment time (2:15pm) and she told us to return half an hour before that time.

We returned around 1:30pm. Around 2:30pm, the adjudicator called out our name and we followed her to her office. She was very pleasant. Congratulated us on our new wedding. She swore us in.
She asked us the following questions in conversation
1) How and When did we meet?
2) Did we have a big wedding or a short ceremony?
3) my husband about his job and the company and how much travel?
4) about my job and the position
5) both of us to tell her each other's birth dates
6) both of us our SSN and cell phone numbers
7) my husband if he was arrested, deported or if he is a terrorist
8) both of us, if he has moved in completely, unpacked.
9) About his parents, my family how i came to u.s and became citizen
10) him about the last time he entered U.S
11) our recommendation of a good indian restaurant in richardson ( since i live here)

And that was all. She told us to wait for the fingerprinting letter and get that done as soon as we can.

We were both so relieved and excited. Hope yours goes just as well.

DORA program and Infopass appointment dates

Hello everyone,
I am a newbie to this forum. I am trying to process my father's green card application and I came across the Dallas rapid adjustment program (DORA).

1. Can I apply for my father's GC thro' DORA?

2. I tried to schedule an appointment through infopass and it says no appointments are available. What does this mean? Normally how does appointment scheduling work thro' infopass? Is it luck or I just tried at the wrong time (perhaps trying during working hours would help)?

Thank!

Ram

(1) If you have an H1B you can look these things up for yourself. Search this forum or USCIS - I have answered this question a million times.

(2) Download the I864 form and read the instructions CAREFULLY. All your options are laid out there. If you still have specific questions, feel free to post back.

1. If you fall within the office's jurisdiction - then YES.
2. Don't worry - keep trying every now and then (couple of times per day). You should find an appointment eventually.
Good luck.

Hello Tony

As for the documents for the application please check my post in a different thread

I dont think your wife's non working status is going to cause you trouble. Your sponsor is supposed to be able to support you above the poverty line which according to my lawyer is 16,000 Dollars. If she cant sponsor you, according to my lawyer, you have two options
1) Somebody from her side can be a cosponsor (father or other)
2) You can show that your earnings are enough to self sponsor where you dont require sponsorship from your spouse.
Hope that helps.
