DORA: EAD received after begging.

DORA: Got EAD after begging. :(

Well, my appointment was at 9.30 AM

I spoke to Officer Henry (counter# 10, afro-american lady). I have told her that today is 103th day from intial filing. Well, she look through her database and said something that I almost fainted of: The officer received your case on Aug, 26, so count on 90 days from that date...I was shocked, then what is the rapidity of the DORA - to put me on hold without ibvious reason? Why did I do FP ASAP? I was almost crying Why didn't they bother to send 70th day letter, at least?

Act # 2 of this tragic opera. I show her my papers for EAD - and she softly advices me - send it by mail. Well, I am telling her that there are plenty of people who get their AP and EAD the same day - that's what you are entitled to because the case is pending. Well, I asked her very politely three times to help me. At the end she asked how can she help me today - I know what it means - get off me.

Well, I was broke down, I don't know how I kept my tears inside.
Somehow I found guts to talk to her superviser. She agreed that the Officer have made a mistake. Still, I got EAD issued only at 12.45. :(

Congratulations on winning the first fight with USCIS. Officer Henry pretty much a big B****. Her main goal is to make people's life as difficult as possible. She is the one who put a 6 month ban on me to do any type of inquiry on my case because I showed up at USCIC twice in a 6 month span. Oh well...atleast she helped you out. Good job.

she didn't help me. She didn't welcome the decision of the supervisor so the supervisor passed my docs herself to EAD room.

So they don't welcome if you wish often to inquire about your case? I'd like to go there at least every two weeks on Infopass to see what is going on with my poor case. And, in result, they will reprimand me for that...That's not human of them. :(

The idea behind that is so you don't come in very often. According to them, they are seeing increasing traffic of "inquirors" whose case is just waiting for FBI Name Check. Since they cannot do anything regarding FBI name check, they believe we should not come in that often to inquire.

I congratulate you for your courage. Most people just wait for their GC, AP or EAD without taking any action.

My short experience dealing with the USCIS is that the more you ask or do practive things, the fast you get approved.

So, well i hope you are working now... :)

I just got a Question... I'd like to know if you get your AP as well your EAD.-
