I recently applied for my wife's I-130, I-485 through the DALLAS DORA just last week, after which my wife's work requires her to travel outside USA to attend to a busineess meeting. I know she cannot travel without any Travel document, how long does it take to get this approved. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. What are the consequences if she travels outside the country without a Travel Document.

Thanks in advance.

The I-131 processing times depends on your District Office's case load. You should check the current times for DORA.

Did you apply for one already?

If she leaves the country without an advanced parole, she would be resigning to her immigration claim for adjustment of status (I-485) and will very likely be denied entry back to the US.

Other suggestions? Do not travel without the travel document.

Thanks for your posting. Did not apply for one. Do you know if INFOPASS accepts I-131 applications, can they issue the Parole on spot.

Thanks!

InfoPass will let you only go inquire about an already filed case, or ask general questions. There is no "fast" way to file for a I-131.

I already filed for 1 and I need it in 2 months. I may or may not get it. But it is the only way.

Actually there is.

You can get what is called an "Emergency Advance Parole" which is issued at Infopass appointment. However they generally only give these out for extreme circumstances, such as the death of a relative.

Needing to go on a business trip is not such a circumstance I'm afraid. You'll have to file for AP the normal way, which takes around 70 days to process.
