DONT E-FILE EAD AT VSC

Why?

I have seen a lot of my friends' e-filed EADs (incl mine) not getting approved even after 90 days.

Where ?
I know only about VSC.


DONT GO TO Manchester, NH for iEAD

Why?

They apparently dont give iEADs. Atleast taht what I was told by an immigration officer when I went for my iEAD. But their infopass let me take an appointment for "interim EAD after 90days", later at Boston, my iEAD was not backdated, causing a gap.

Consequence ?

- wasted my time,
- possible gap inbetween iEADs
( by the time I found out what to do, I had a gap in between my EADs. )
- nerve wracking experience with employer and later at GC interview.

I hope this saves time, money and mental stress to someone out there like me.

Well, I applied online on August 9th, Scheduled for FP on August 23rd and EAD got approved on September 9th. But, certainly this is not faster service than manual EAD as we applied for my spouse on August 19th manually and we got in less than two weeks.

Can you please let me know why IEAD was not issued in Manchester, NH?Did they say any reason?

Manchester, NH says they stopped issuing interim EADs as "there was lot of fraud" - to put it in immi officers words... to me, it looks like either he didnt know why or there was someother reason he didnt want to share with me.

if there is anyone whose home zip code takes to Manchester NH on Infopass, dont take the appointment, put in Boston's zip code and go to Boston. I was advised to do this by Immi officer at 1-800 number... but too late, I now have a "gap"
