My wife and I submitted our N-400 in January 2024. My wife was scheduled for an interview in April which she completed successfully. Unfortunately, her oath ceremony was scheduled while she was overseas, so she is waiting for a rescheduling.
I completed my interview last week but what surprised me is even though I was scheduled at a field office, my interview was over video at the USCIS office and not in person. Does this happen at times? The officer told me I passed the civic test, but a decision could not be made, and it could take 1-2 months. No update yet on my USCIS profile. Very strange! Can someone help me understand if this is normal or has happened before?
