I had filed my Labor Certification papers with the CA DOL, stamped, received in their regional office in Sept, 2002. The way it's going, it will take up to 1 1/2 - 2 years to get it approved.
I am jobless right now.
In the meantime, I want to go to a 3-year graduate school in the fall of this year. This means that when my LC gets approved, I will still be in school.
My questions are... when I concurrently file my I-485 and I-140 with the DHS, do I have to file my I-765 (Employment Authorization) as well? Am I required to work with my employer right away?
