HI, all

Does anybody know what's going on with Federal Level DOL in San Francisco? It's posted as 1/2002 still. It's slow as hell. It took me a year to get state level DOL and now I have to wait for almost another two years to a federal level DOL?

Is there anything that we can do? Why CA is so special?

CA DOL is processing MARCH 2002 now as per AVM...

Also we have seen some cases processed / certified with RD of Nov 2002 (NON IT).. So It's up to your job category how long it's gonna take.

Can you be more specific? According to the official web site the only category thats in March 2002 is H-2A.

Don't know what AVM means. Is that a phone recording? Does that say March 2002 for CA DOL RIR? Do you happen to have this number?

SFO DOL

The AVM says that SFO DOL office is processing RIR apps filed ON OR ABOUT March 2002. Doesnt mean that they are done with applications filed before March. It does, however, mean that they are looking at some apps from March 2002 also. You can hear the recording by calling DOL at 415-975-4601. Press 1 1 to go directly to the recording.
 
Here is what I heard

I'm an IT consultant.

Our legal told me that anyone who filed from 6/2001 - 12/2001 has been hold, for unknown reason. And recently they observed that some of the cases has been returned to repost the ad and verify that there're no American workers have been qualified. So almost after 2 years, they(the lawyers) have to do this one more time. And it also posted the risk since the situation is different as compare to what it was 2 years ago. In my view, this whole thing has just become a total mess, at least in California...

BTW, immigration.com still post the RIR date as 1/2002.
