Dol- Bec- Sucks!!!

DOL is keeping 400,000 labor certifications in pending at Back log centers and approving PERM with in days
DOL wasting a lot of Tax dollars in the name of this backlog process by sending redundant 45 day letters ..etc is keeping all of us in FRUSTRATION..
WHY NOT DOL APPLY updated process procedures which it is doing for PERM to CLEAR this BACKLOG..
THIS IS SIMPLY FRUAD..

Let US ALL report the commitee of judiciary of the US congress about this fraud, abuse or waste of DOL resources....

This commitee has oversight of immigration matters...
We have to generate enough volume in US Congress that they get interested in out plight....If this commitee starts demanding hearings on this subject then that would make some difference......They can generate decisive pressure...

Also these are the people who can demand additional funding to this program...

Anybody who decides to write please be very polite and concise

spend 5 minutes to send a e-mail instead of spending 5 years in FRUSTRATION

I just called Philly BEC @ 484-270-1500
and asked about the RIR cases processing..
I received the same answer "APRIL 2001"
He said "there are processing ONLY Regional Received cases..
No SWA Cases .
2001 RIR cases will be completed by another 8 to 10 months
"

I started writing a note to Congress

But As I was writing I became more sceptical of reporting BEC as fraud....Would it be counterproductive....It would get worse if congress cuts the funding because it is fraud....They always are ready to cut funding to anything....Getting extra funding is the real problem...

I donot know what points to write so that we donot harm our own cause....
Please review what I have written and I have to say that I believe that It does more damage than any good....We have to present it in a different manner..

This august committee has oversight of immigration matters. The congress has
mandated immigration of skilled labor to United States through the
immigration and naturalization Act. To accomplish this, the Department of
labor created the permanant foreign labor certification program( referred to
as FLC program from now onwards). The program had its share of problems.
There were complaints about application remaining backlogged for 4/5 years and
more in some instances.

To remedy these circumstances, the DOL came up with backlog elimination centers
(BEC).
The applications already in the pipeline were transferred to two backlog
centers based in Philadelphia and Dallas. The remedy of the situation that
DOL has come up with, is creating extreme hardships to law abiding,promising
immigrants.

This note is to bring to your attention the ineffectiveness of these backlog
elimination centers(BECs). These centers were started a little over an year
ago with the goal of eradicating all the backlog within 24/30 months. As it
stands now, the BECs are still entering data into computers. Out of 360,000
pending applications, the BECs have processed only a few thousand cases.

The BECs are operated by a company called Exceed Corporation. The process is
not transparant. The BECs have numerous computer problems.

I urge you hold hearings enquiring into effectiveness of these backlog
elimination centers.Please hold the DOL and Exceed corporation accountable
for the money sanctioned to them for this processing. The DOL and Exceed
corporation are stonewalling the immigrant community about the status
of their applications..

Not bad at all :) there are a few grammatical corrections that you could do but it is concise and straight to the point :)
 
future DOL update on Sept'05!!!!

What will be the update by DOL on Sept'05?. I guess this is what they would say.

1. More than 80% cases have been entered into PBLS system and 40% of them have got their 45 day letters.

2. DOL expects to complete the data entry by early SPRING 2006. Once the cases are entered 45 days letter will be generated (NOT SENT) for those remaining cases.

3. DOL is planning to sent 45 days letters to all the cases by early SUMMER 2006.

4. DOL is planning to send out 2nd round of 45 days letters to those who received their letters in late 2004 and early 2005.

5.DOL will send the letters to all the applicants whose 45 days is more than 365 days old.

DOL is planning to certify LC for anyone
1. WHO IS ALREADY DEAD.
2. WHO HAS LEFT THE USA ALREADY.
