DOL’S PERM Program Delayed

This is bad news. The news items does not refers to any DOL web site to confirm. Where is the news coming from ?? Can anyone else confirm...

I believe 15 day is closer to the factual position as PERM law aims to process a case in 21 days, Except for a few cases that will be 'selected' by the Computer for manual processing (according to my understanding of the law). Even the cases manually processed will be faster since there will not be such a backlog after the PERM is implemented.

PERM

magio-kattar web site gave baseless information. No goverment agency have announced delay of PERM as yet.

I hope you are right...However, normally bad news are true :-( (Unforunately). Lets talk to attornies during the week and psot the response on the forum..One way or the other we are going to overcome these hurdles together !

My attorney has no news about PERM.
Does anybody have?

My attorney has mentioned that he will be able to better see the shape of things starting late April (ie. it is beign delayed or not). Another web site immigration-information.com mentions that they seem to be shooting for July . Briefly there is no confirmation either way...so perhaps we need to keep the ears close to the ground until something concrete appears ! Lets keep this forum posted !!!

That is the link from the DOL website on the proposed PERM regulation.
If you search for Page 30467 and read para 5 there,it says that PERM would reduce the labor cert. process to 21 days..
however reading this long lengthy proposal I could'nt find anything on "what happens to the present labor cert.-how could they be converted to PERM or not?
Let us know if any of you find anything?

Gary
