Doing FP before scheduled date?

I received an FP notice, scheduled to be done on March 2, 2001 at Newark, NJ. Notice does not give any other option except for possibility to reschedule.

My question: Can FP be done before the scheduled date? I am planning to visit India during this time and have already bought air tickets.

My details:
VSC EB3 India
PD: 8/96
RD: 9/99
ND: 10/7/99
FP noticed received: 2/6/01

Any information in this regard would be highly appreciated.

I think it is possible. One of my friend did go to the local INS Center here in Detroit, and got
his finger print done earlier.

I am in the same situatio. I will be in India during the
scheduled appt date. Will they do the FP if i just do a walk in
on Wed/Saturday before the appt date ?

Talk to the LOCAL INS office where you have the schedule for FP. If they are ready to accept it then go ahead.

Your attorney is absolutely wrong. It is totally possible to do your FP before the scheduled date. Sorry, I must\'ve missed this post. Otherwise would\'ve replied earlier.
