Does waiver application prevent from obtaining academic training?

Hi friends,

I am a Fulbright fellow who is considering to apply for a waiver of the 2-year requirement. However, I am worried that the moment I apply for the waiver I may be wasting my options of later getting academic training, whatever the result of the waiver application is. Any clue on that? In other words, Imagine I ask for the waiver and it is denied (quite common for Fulbrighters), can I still obtain academic training or the fact that I requested the waiver prevents me from doing so?

Any idea will be highly appreciated.

Academic Training and Waiver

I was a Fulbright too.
I applied for the waiver while doing my academic training. There is no reason to deny academic training.
I am sure you can apply for the waiver now and later on apply for the academic training.

were you able to get the 2 year waiver despite your fulbright? how did you go about it? any other recommendations you have? any input is greatly appreciated.
