Does use of AP slow down GC processing?

Guys,

Somebody told me that by applying/using AP slow down the GC processing because Immigration department will put your file on some kind of hold and will not move your file for processing.
Is it true? I am confused and need some light on this matter.
Please help.

Where did you hear that from?
Majority of people who don't have a valid H1 anymore use AP to travel, I have never heard from anyone or anywhere that use of AP slows down the case
