Does USCIS update its online system in case of FPs ?

Hi,

Does USCIS update its online system in case of FPs also?
Or
Has anybody's LUD /message changed in the USCIS online system in case of FP notice?

Yah, USCIS update your file after 1st FP, my wife's I485 ststus message was changed within 2 weeks to something like.
<On xx/xx/xx we recvd your finger printing ....are now pending review>

for me it took 4 months to see this msg.

For FP notice - Can we call USCIS and ask for the status? ...esp. when nothing has changed online. My wife got her 1st FP notice and I am the main applicant & am still waiting.

Well the way VSC is working is unpredictable. Me and my wife had 1st FP in April04 together. Today my wfe had 2nd FP done alone, I havent recvd any 2nd FP notice ?.

And to me those NCSC reps are hopeless they have the access to the same info which you can see online or may be a little more. Because when my FP1 status msg was not updated for 3-4 months I contacted them and they read me the old status msg and they didnt have any further info.
But you can give it a try and call them.

You are right - NCSC reps are really hopeless.

BTW - Will my FP notice come to me or go to the lawyer? My wife's FP notice came to my home addres. All the USCIS receipts (140/485/765/AP) had gone to the lawyer.

Also, you mentioned about the 2nd FP - For how long is the 1st FP valid?

I read here somewhere that FP is valid for 15 months but then why they sent FP2 for my wife ? I have no idea.
1st FP notice we recv at home for both me and my wife and I remember my attorney also receivd those.
2nd FP for my wife came to my address and my atty also recvd a copy which she also sent us.
Yah, all the receipts come to the attorney if they file it, but I filed my 2nd AP & EAD so I recvd their recpts.

I did not get the FP notice directly from USCIS - my attorney recd. it and she says that she will send me a copy.
Is the copy sufficient or do I need to have the original?

Also, does the USCIS keep the copy /original (whatever) or does it return it to us after FP.
