Does this mean transfer or approval please advice

I have an EB2 NIW pending since DEC 2001. responded to an RFE for medical in July 2003. did second finger printing whole family in Nov.2003.
My online message changed to this today,

Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or
to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On October 1, 2004, we responded to your request for more information
concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30
days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

DOES THIS MEAN TRANSFER OR APPROVAL, I AM WORRIED
if it is was an approval it should have said approved what is going on,

please advise

Generally people have seen this message after they have changed their address with USCIS or they have enquired about their case through fax or Congressman/Senator etc.

This message is not for RFE.
 
thanks prem, makes sense on 9/27 I had called USCIS to update address as USCIS status report on my wife and son had said the following,

I was checking status online on USCIS website on 9/27. there was no change in my status, however for my wife and son (dependents) it said:

Current Status:

Our last written notice in this case was returned as undeliverable by the post office on September 27, 2004. To update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

I had duly filed AR-11 and notified than INS almost 2 years ago.I cant believe INS goofed it. I called again yesterday and updated to new address to all applicants.

Questions:
1. What could be the written notice for dependants? online message doesnt say RFE, NOID etc. should i worry about this.

2. Do I have to wait till USCIS resends the notice to new address or is there something I can do to expedite.

opinions/advise greatly appreciated.

I recieved a similar letter from USCIS after I initiated an enquiry. The enquiry letter stated the obvious that my case is pending and I should hear back from them with in 60-90 days.

Sometimes (not to everyone) USCIS sends a letter response about change of address, so I believe they are talking about that letter.

Whenever you change address, you have to do two things:
- Call 800 number and change the address on all your pending applications
- File AR-11

Just filing AR-11 will not take care of address change with USCIS and they would keep on sending you letters at your old address.
