Does this mean Approved?

:confused: I received this e-mail. Not sure what is means. I also receive notice on 02.12 about my biometrics which is scheduled on 1st March. I think I will wait this I receive actual document to see what it means then will go for biometric. Any idea what it could be.???? :confused:

sounds like approval. You may call customer service and find out. They may send you plastic card after march 1 bio.

I'll be puzzled too if I were you. I looks like an approval notice, but since your PD is not current and your biometrics not taken...Who knows? Several others have received this same e-mail lately. Check postings by Banglababu and Hairyskull

You should go to your biometrics appointment anyway. (Now, if you get green card first...it's a different story) But for now, plan ahead and get ready for your March 1st Biometrics appointment. Don't miss it for anything in the world. (I have the same appointment date for biometrics code 3)

the Fake Approval Notice..

All right, its confirmed that the so called Approval Notices, like the one I got after we did our Bio, is absolutely fake, if we are considering it as the Approval for the pending 485 Case.

HPatel20, got it before Bio and I got it after the Bio. In both case, it refers to that fact that a Document was generated based on our case, which is aleady, registered, and the Document is nothing but the notice for BIOMETRICS.

In some case, it notifies before FP, which the System should be doing consistently, and in other case, it notifies after the FP. What a Mess....U Duh! The USCIS...

Sorry to hear about the fake email. I feel it's terrible news.
How did you confirmed it was fake ?
 
It is not a fake message, rather an inaccurate generic autogenerated message. The text of the message is "document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued". Most likely a mis-mapped status message triggered by receipt of biometrics information. I received a similar message during I140 processing.

The approval status update is very clear in its message. You will know when you receive one of those!
 
Approval Notice

Guys and Gals,

Approval Notices always state, "This case has been approved. An approval notice has been mailed ... blah blah."

Any other type of message is not an approval.

Not necessarily for AP. The message for AP "On February XX, 2006, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued."

It's me again. Sorry to barge in on your cae so much, but I want to know how do you know the message you got was fake for sure? Did a customer rep told you ? or you are assuming since you have not received a letter in mail ?

I was referring to 485 approval and not any other approval. Other applications have different approval notices.

My Wife called USICS and got the reply "The approval document in the email that you got from CRIS means you got the CARD". and was told to wait for 30days and then call her, if no card is received. She gave her name and extension number and my wife should be calling her on 3/15. With all the feedback that I got from this forum, I analysed that the word "Approval" in the email is fake signal for Green Card, but could be becuase they issues us notice for Biometrics.

I got the same message this morning. Did call up TSC Directly and here is the situation,

they sent me Biometric notice to old address (Auto generated) and returned back to USCIS. Now today they resent me the Biometric Notice and the message says,

Receipt Number: SRCXXXXX

Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or
to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On February 28, 2006, the document we made based on the approval or
registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom
issued.

AS WE THOUGHT THIS IS NOT A SURPRISE, on top of it my name check still pending.
 
FP notice

I got an exact update and it turned out to be a FP notice in the end.

I called TSC after I got the email and a lady told me that my case has been approved and the card should be on the way. I told her that I haven't done my FP and she asked me to call back 30 days later.

I called 30 days later and they aggreed that it's not an approval
