Does the Visa interview happens on the same day as provided by KCC email?

Hello Friends,

I am one of the winner of DV-2011 and I recently contacted KCC as my case number became current for the month of May, 2011.
KCC gave me the interview date and my question is, does the visa interview happens on the same date as provided by KCC or it is just a date to contact embassy.

Please share your experience.

Yes, it is the date you ATTEND the interview. I think it is a good idea to contact them way before the scheduled interview date just to make sure that you and your docs are ready for the interview. Also, you can postpone the interview date if you wish to do so and if you and your docs are not ready yet.

Yes, the date provided by KCC is your interview date which should not be missed.

I strongly advise that you do not postpone your interview date, as this could jeopardize your chances. Peace! Benniit
 
postponing the date will not hurt from my experience, especially for the month of May. However, postponing to later months like August or September might be a bit dangerous
