Does the passport needs to be valid for the entire VISA period

Hi there!

Does the passport needs to be valid for the entire period of the I-797 approval. What if, it expires little earlier than the 797 approval date. Any risks when go to Canada for the stamping?

No. If you are holding a valid US non-immigrant visa in an expired Indian passport, you may carry both your expired and new Indian passport together and travel between India and the United States until the non-immigrant visa expires. You do not need to obtain a new non-immigrant visa.
 
Passport valid for less than 6 months

Hi Guys,

My passport is going to expire in LESS than 6 months. Is it advisable to attend VISA in MEXICO NOW.
