Does the new employer require original approved Certified PERM from the current employer?

Does the new employer requires original approved certified perm from my current employer to port my pending I-485, please let me know.

I believe your new employer is filing I-485 Supp J. If that is the case these info/docs are absolutely required for its filing.
 
ok, yes they are! I do have I-485 and I-140 approval copy, but the certified approved PERM is with my current employer, and I am not sure if he is willing to provide, is there any other way to get that document? please let me know
 
its easier for attorneys to prepare I-485 supplement J when you can provide job title, duties. Your new job has to be in same or similar occupation. It is due to this reason new employer attorney's are insisting for certified perm which might have all info required to file.
