Does the immigration do a credit check?

I'm in the process of applying for adjustment of status and I was hit by a car and the driver took off and was never found. I suffered multiple injuries that took me years to recover and the worse was the medical bill I ended up stuck with. I could not work for 6 months after the accident and had to file for bankruptcy. Now I wonder if I'll have a problem with immigration. Can someone who knows tell me if they check your credit or if I'll have a problem because of my bankruptcy filing?

Thank you,
J

How about at Naturalization stage?

I said it above very clearly that credit check and bankrupticy have nothing to do with immigration service....Immigration service means anything to do with immigration like getting non-immigrant visa, immigrant visa (green card) and US citizenship...

No they dont check bz mostly desis have no credit as most of them are working on cash and on bogus H-1/b. I swear to God in Edison New Jersey 90% people working on stores have h-1/b and working as cashiers ....so credit is a joke ...:D:D:D
