Does Post office forward EAD to new address?

Hello Friends,

I got my EAD Renewal approved on DEC 1st 2001. I had moved to my new address from Newark, CA to Sacramento, CA. When I called INS, they said they had already posted the renewal cards and i have given my change of new address in postoffice.

Does Post Office forward these EAD package to the new address or will they send it back to INS? since,it is a government letter i am worried whether it will be forwarded to my new address. Anyone had similar experience?

Please comment/advice/share your experience.

I was told by my attorney that the post office will not forward it to new address, since EAD card comes in a letter stamped with "No address forwarding...".

From my conversation with an IIO at VSC, INS has instructed USPS not to forward INS official mail to the forwarding address but to return the same to the INS. In that case, you just have to wait and call the IIO and inform them about the change of address and when they get it back, have them remail the same. I don\'t know how CSC works but my guess is it probably is the same.
 
Will postoffice hold my EAD card?

Gurus,

I need ur advice. I am going to be out of town for 15/20 days
and I am planning to put a hold for my letters at postoffice.
I am expecting my EAD card in next 15 days and I would like to
know if postoffice will hold my EAD card or return it back to
VSC. Please let me know if any one had a simillar experience.
