Does our company sponsor US citizenship?

I was just wondering whether our existing company sponsor the US citizenship. I dont think that companies would sponsor the Citizenship but would like to know if anybody has similar experience.
I understand that I can directly ask my employer if he does, but would like to know whether it is reasonable to ask them.
Thanks

What is your current status, H1../ GC?
If you are not a Permanent resident (GC holder) then your company can sponsor you for a GC. Once you get GC, then you can file for US Citizenship after wating for 5 years.

Companies do not sponsor for citizenship.

Naturalization process has nothing to do with your employer. It is upto the individual to do it if and when he/she decides to do it. As a matter of fact, you don't even have to be employed to file for citizenship. You just have to be eligible to apply for it. You can get all the information regarding eligibility in 'Guide to Naturalization' document on CIS website.

I think he wants to know whether his company would pick up the tab. I don't think that they would. Go ahead write that $400 check.

Thanks to all.. I was expecting the same answer.. Recently I have completed 5 years on GC. The INS fee is not a problem for me.. Except I was thinking to go thru a immigration attorney since I have some complications. Hence was thinking whether my company can handle the attorney fees. Anyhow looks like it is ruled out.
Does anybody have an idea as how much usually the attorney's fee will be? i.e in hundreds or thousands? Really appreciate your help.

It all depends on what your case involves so you can't generalize or even make a ball-park estimate. The only way to know is to call up a few attorneys and ask them.

If you need security clearance...

If you already have a green card, and need security clearance to give you enhanced access to data or the right to work on certain projects, then a company may decide to pay for some or all of the citizenship costs. (Currently $400, so it's not insignificant.) It's all voluntary though; they don't have to.

They don't need to sponsor you, as in sponsoring for an employment-based green card. You just need to have had a green card for 5 years (minus 90 days).
