Does Newark Office handle EAD and AP renewal walkins

Hi Guys n Gals out there.
MY EAD and AP are expiring in Nov. I recently got an RFE which is yet to be received(RD 8/6 RFE 8/5). I am not sure, if I should reapply now or wait for a couple of monhts more and then do a walkin into Newark office. Can anyone let me know if Newark office is accepting the walkin applications. I am also planning to goto India in Nov so the timing is very critical as I wuld definitely need the AP to reenter.
Please suggest what sould I do.

YOU CAN WALK IN FOR AN AP, BUT NOT EAD. However, if your EAD application with VSC is over 90 days, you can walk in to get an EAD. The rule is stupid.

I guess I should really soon...cause I haveseen that few RFE's are taking a couple of months and I might run closer to my travel plans
