Does new LCA requires new H1

I am working for company from Maryland since last one year. My location of work was New York till Feb 2003. In Feb 2003 I moved to Chicago and I am working in Chicago since then. It seems that my company did not have LCA for Chicago until now. I was unaware of these things.
Last week they told me that they received LCA for Chicago. As I got different LCA I called company's attorney he is telling I need new H1.

Do i really need new H1? I have been working US for last five years I have relocated to different states several times. But never did new H1. This time I need to pay his $1000 fees

Please can some one tell do I need new H1?

No, If it was an LCA amendment then you dont need a h1 or h1 amendment. if it is entirely a new LCA , you need a new H1

LCA is a requirement for H1 application. If you change work place then you need to ammend you H1 with a new LCA for the new work location. If you need to renew you H1 you will need a valid LCA and often a new one. You need your H1 ammended or a new H1 is also possible.

Also LCA for H1 takes only minutes to process online.

This is just my opinion and its always better to consult an immigration lawyer.
