Does my spouse go out of status

Folks

My wife came here on a H4 visa. Thereafter we applied for AOS, & she got her EAD & AP. After that, she got a job & quit her job a few months later. Does she become out of status because of this ? I know that once you apply for EAD you lose the H4 status, so is there a way out ?

I think that she is in Status

Anil,You can check with your lawyer. I think once you apply for aos, you are in status. Work id or even no work id besides no H4 does not matter.

to my knowledge once u r in aos (I-485) u r always in status
The only thing I am not sure of is what happens in case You r denied

But percentage of denials are very very few

AOS is a valid status until GC

EAD is used for employment purposes only. With EAD she can work at as many compnaies she wants and quit them. For travel purposes she has to use AP . That is all. This is a far better status than H4.
