Does "Last updated date" mean something?

From online status, I noticed my case's "Last updated date" changed. But the online status is remain the same as before, and I also did not received any email regarding the update. I had impression we should received the email if our case is touched, even without status change, am I right?

Anyway, just want to check out if this "Last updated date" mean something or it simply means nothing? thanks

What URL are you looking at to get your status? I query mine up at https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/caseStat.jsp and I do not see the "Last Updated Date"

You can set up a portofolio account, then you will see it

It means nothing, unless case status changes. You may get email if your case status changes but not update of date.
