Does it matter whether we submit our courtesy copy/lawyers copy?

Guys,

We all receive 2 copies of our I-485 approval notices, one as a courtesy copy which the INS mails us directly, another one which the INS mails to our lawyer who then subsequently mails it to us.
My question is "Will the INS send the plastic card to my lawyer if I submitted my lawyer\'s copy of my approval notice?"
OR in either case will the INS mail me directly the Plastic card?
I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I am really curious because when I went for stamping my passport the INS officer only scribbled my Alien # on the form after taking my signature & the lawyer\'s copy of my approval notice.I didn\'t see her writing any address.

It does...

According to a local INS official it does.

When I presented the lawyer\'s copy, she asked me to strike out the lawyer\'s address and write my home address on top of it. I was told that if I didn\'t do that, the card would go to the lawyer.

But, it may not be a bad idea to have the card sent to the lawyer (that is if you trust him/her not to loose it), particularly if you have plans to move.
