Does INS work on Saturdays(or)Weekends?

I just noticed User "Jia" got approved 485 - ND 27th Sept 2000 and EAC is
00-284-XXX. Does this mean INS works on weekends too? \'cause if we subtract (52 X 2 = 104) weekends from 366 calendar days of 2000, we have olny 252 working days. Then how come Jia\'s EAC is 00-284XXX.

As I know, many people have ND on Saturday and my ND is 278 (Sept 21), more than 252 day/yr.

What about the National Holidays

You forgot to take in to account, the 10 or 11 national holidays. Then 252 will become 241 or 242.

looks like VSC has around 287 working days.
considering the fact that 9/27 is 284.
so after EAC 00 287 XXXXXX
the number rolls up to next year EAC 01 001 XXXXXX (Oct 1st).
They might be working on some saturdays and there might
52 (sundays) + ~27 (other holidays or some saturardays) which
makes it up to the magic figure of 366.
anu more food for confusion?
 
EAC number is based on receipt date

As far as I know, the EAC number is based on receipt date, and it excludes weekends (sat and sun) and public holidays.
