Does INS honor the courtsey copy of I485 approval?

Hello folks
I have received a courtsey copy of my I485 approval. The original went to the attorney. My problem is that the attorney is no longer with the company since our company bought off by a big fish. I am trying to contact the same lawyer but his where abouts are not known. INS has his address on my file and the new attorney did not bother to change any thing. What are my options? I have called the INS and IIO has told me to fax a request stating that the original should resent to you since the attorney is no longer our company representative. FAX line is always busy. Anyone else in the same Boat? Would appreciate you feedback.Thanks

The notice itself says you have to use the original one.
But I don\'t think that the INS really cares as long as they
have their correct records in thier system. So it is
fine to just bring the coutesy copy.
 
Courtesy Copy works

My wife and I got our passports stamped last Friday in Newark, NJ with our courtesy copies. So if you are going to Newark, then be assured that the courtesy copy definitely works.
