Does I-485 approval notice go to the lawyer or go to my own address directly?

Hi, guys,

Just curious about where the I-485 approval notice goes? I hired a lawyer to handle my case and updated my address with USCIS and lawyer after each move. Since I have seen several posts about the address issue, I am worried about whether it will make trouble for me. I have moved 3 times after I-485 application submission in Oct, 02. By the way, the lawyer's address is never changed.
Thanks a lot!

David

Original usually goes to Attorney's office and you get a courtesy copy which is good enough for stamping.

If u r approved pls do accept my heartiest congratulations

Thanks for your reply and wishes

Hi Dumbo,
When you say courtesy copy of the 485 approval,do you mean the copy will be from INS or lawyer?
My lawyers will take forever for sending me a copy.Could you pls let me know.

Hi gc0299,
Thanks for the reply. I was asking whether the courtesy copy will be sent to me directly by the INS or routed thru the lawyer.
Sorry for the confusion. Do you have any idea?

Courtesy copy

The courtesy copy will be sent directly to you by USCIS not to your lawyer. The lawyer will get the original.
