Does home address matter for LCA and H1B?

Hi,

I am moving to work from a different office location (different state) for the same employer. The lawyers have filed a LCA and will soon file an H1B Ammendment. I am searching for places to rent and my question is:

Does it matter what my home address is?

Is there a maximum distance in miles that you can live from the office location?

The office location is on the Northeast, so it's relatively easy to live across state borders but still within driving distance.

Thank you for the reply ginnu.

I have asked, but I wanted an outside opinion as they can't be trusted. There have been instances where they told me "No, you have to do X" when, after investigating it myself and consulting with my own lawyer, it was not the case.
