When a GC holder enters US in the airport, does he/she use the counter for citizen or the counter for visitor/foreigners?

The Citizen line includes PR..at least at IAD. Used it a few weeks ago....just my luck the Citizen line was longer than the Visitor line that time..

The citizen line. At airport POEs, the lines actually say "US Citizens/Permanent Residents".

Not at all airports, as I have noticed. If it doesn't say, I just ask one of the immigration people directing the flow of traffic, and so far they always said that I can go to the citizen line.

I didn't know that. Toronto, NY and SF do say USC/LPR.

Atlanta airport used to have several counters marked US Citizens Only then some marked US Citizens/Permanent Residents, but they stopped that recently. Now all the lanes are marked US Citizens/Permanent Residents.

If a citizen want INS to place a entry stamp on his passport just for the fun of it, will INS do that?
My USC daughter gets the stamp every time she crosses the border :)
