Last week I got a call from CSC to let me know my case is with an officer. I was so surprised that the only words I could say to him were "thank you so... much, ...." . I even forgot to ask him to send me 2ndFP notice!

Today I asked my lawyer to request 2nd FP for me. The lawyer replied with "We have recently been informed by USCIS, that your case is undergoing security check and will be further informed".

Now my feeling is I am falling in a black hole... so desperate...

My lawyer said everyone need to go through "security check", is it true??

Did you initiate any inquiry or faxed? I wonder what made them call you?

Yes, I made fax inquiry I & II in Mid of June as csc had received my RFE for over 60 days by that time.

If every case needs security check, is it usual that CSC informs the lawyer about this?

I think I case accross it somewhere that now every case need security check. The thing is, security check take 3 days for 80% of all cases, less than 3 month for 99% cases. But somehow it became a commonly used convenient excuse for CSC, just b/c a handful of cases take more than 3 monthes.

I heard all sorts of response from different parties, including the security check and case with an officer, turns out they are both bogus excuses to put off your inquiry and make you wait a couple of more month.
