Hi
Does Employer gets notified abt 485 approval.
Is it safe to assume that when I got 485 approval then there are
no more hassels (i mean is it 100% assured that I got GC) or
r there any problems with passport stamping or getting the actual card.

thanks

Once you get approval, your GC is 100% assured. However, INS reserves the right to revoke the permanent resident status in case of descrepencies that are identified after the case approval. A typical example is evidence of intent to change the employer prior to the approval. However, with the S.2045 this also may go away. But it is not very clear at this point in time. Please note that there is not much data available to accurately predict INS behavior in such cases.

In my case, YES, employer got notified about I-485 approval. That\'s due to the fact that my employer paid my GC application and lawyer fee. Once lawyer received the original copy of the approval notice, they notified the human resource people in the company I am working for.

But if you got everthing handled otherwise, I would assume your employer won\'t be notified by
INS directly.

Why should employer get the originals but the applicant gets opnly the coutesy copy.

I thought the I-485 is for the applicant and should receive the original. Since the employer is the one receiving the original, the employer might then have certain rights. Does this mean that the employer can delay the process?
