If still unresolved (i.e. no verdict or dismissal yet) on the day of the interview, they will delay your citizenship process until the charges are resolved.

I was convicted of "disturbing public peace" misdemeanor. I'm going to apply for citizenship soon. Will this conviction affect my application? My criminal lawyer (not the immigration lawyer) told me it shouldn't.
When? If it is old it is pretty much irrelevant. If it is current (or recent) might be an issue. Only if 1.) you are currently on probation for it, or 2.) you were a probation violator, or 3.) if it was a severe or extreme thing you did in public (depends on what was involved), would it remain a real problem.
