Does CSC also send letter to aSK for CP or I-485 after submitting I-824

After submitting I-824, I heard that BCIS would send a letter for applicant to request whether you decide to continue I-485 or go ahead with CP. When will it be send? Does CSC also does it or just goes ahead without sending this letter?

Does this mean that if you answer NO to that letter, then your I-485 is still going without ever interrupt (i.e. it is not assumed that you have abondoned it and re-submit it again - so with a new receipt date)?

I am from India, a permanent resident of Canada, resided and worked in Canada since 2000. I have traveled to the US several times.
My wife and I have our Green Card interview at MONTREAL consulate in April. I am a NIW, EB-2, self petitioned candidate with no job offer in the US. Since I am in Canada I have few questions:
1. Do I need an employment letter? (Canadian.)
2. Do I need Canadian TAX return papers? (Did not file US tax so far.)
3. Do I need affidavit of support for my wife? (She is not working at present.)
4. Do I need any other financial documents?

Answer: YEs and it should be notarized. This is primary candidates employment letter needs to be notarized.

Answer: Last 2 bank statements and letter from bank stating details of your account prior to your cp interview.
